New Map - The War To End All Wars

Me and Tiger I have been working hard on this one for a while now. We found that the biggest and only flaw in the current scenario "Great War" is that there are too many territories for beginners, and that the pop-out sections for the Western Front, Africa, and the Pacific were just confusing and hard to visualize. So we are creating this: a more condensed version of World War One with one one simple pop-out which is easily understandable. All of Africa is included, however the United States and Pacific are left out because (1) This game is supposed to focus on European battles (even if the US played a key role) and (2) the pacific theater wasn't all the known of and isn't needed in this game. Stay tuned for more updates. I won't give a release date though.

The actual map dimensions are 3067x4000.

At this moment I don't know whether it will get finished. I haven't been in contact with the guy in charge of it in a while.

Viva la TripleA

TripleA has come a long was in the past couple years. Without our development team and community of map makers and game players, none of this would be possible. I just want to point out that there is a way to donate to the TripleA project. Click the button below to donate starting at only $5. A little goes a long way.

DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown notice from Hasbro

OUTDATED INFORMATION - DMCA RESOLVED

Our beloved friends down at Hasbro sent us a nice message:
Dear SourceForge, Inc.: We are counsel for Hasbro, Inc. (“Hasbro”) the owner of the copyrights and trademarks for the AXIS & ALLIES® board game, including an online version of the game.

1. The copyrighted work is the AXIS & ALLIES® board game,
including all versions and the online game.
b. The infringing material is an unauthorized downloadable version of the AXIS & ALLIES® game called “TripleA” that its developer refers to as “an axis and allies clone.” The TripleA maps, unit types and game rules are exact replicas of the AXIS & ALLIES® game. The infringing material is located at:
c. [personal information removed]
d. We have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted materials described above infringes Hasbro’s copyrights and other intellectual property rights, and is not authorized by Hasbro, its agents, or the law.
e. We are authorized to act on Hasbro’s behalf regarding these matters. The information provided in this notification is accurate to the best of my knowledge and is provided under penalty of perjury.

So basically Hasbro thinks we are using some of thier copyrighted material. This is obviously wrong. Get informed and contact Hasbro or anyone else to get this issue heard. The community is now thinking of a new name for TripleA (in attempt to eliminate all affiliation with Axis and Allies).

TripleA is no longer available for download on the Sourceforge site. You need other means of finding it. Luckily LOLORD has posted:

Unit Compile 2

I figured anyone making a map would like to have a big list of all the available unit images. This set I compiled contains the old and new TripleA unit sets, plus some user created ones by other people that still look really good.
-185 unit images
-13 colors

8 Army Free For All v. 1.5

That's right. 8 ARMIES! each country starts with 7 territories. Italy is added, and its capital is Libya. Australia is added, and of course, their capital is Australia. If you can't get 8 players, try taking multiple countries per person. Each player gets a 250 IPC bid.

DOWNLOAD

This version's edits:

-Fixed issue where a java error pops up every time a neutral is captured
-Enhanced unzipping and folder structures to make it easier to download and place in the correct folder

I made setup easy this time:

-Place the ZIP file in the "maps" directory
-Open the ZIP (don't extract) and copy the eight_army_free_for_all.xml file to the "games" folder
-Enjoy. Let TripleA take care of everything else.
